Driver Complaint – Instrument panel not working and intermittent non start.
Cause/Symptom – The caller to our helpline advised that there were no fault codes logged in the memory and the fault only happened on the first start in the morning.
Rectification Route – The fault was located to a bad earth on the main battery earth cable on the body. The cable was tight but on removal it was found to be corroded under the lug. Remove the cable and clean both the body and the cable lug, and re secure the cable. Although there were no fault codes logged in this instance it would be advisable to check and remove any codes if logged.
