RENAULT
Renault follow the procedure of offering a service book with new vehicles and therefore meets the requirements for maintaining a service record.

SUBARU
Subaru are using digital service records and we contacted Subaru UK direct. Although they have a DSR system in place it is only accessible to the UK dealer network. Also no service book is supplied with any new vehicle. The advice given was that they were more concerned that their service schedules were followed and appropriate parts were used. As long as these requirements are met with all invoices and documentation to back it up, they are more than happy or would prefer this approach to be used as verification in the event of a warranty claim.

TOYOTA
We have been in contact with Toyota regarding the apparent use of digital service records (DSR). They use DSR on a dealer-based system for information only and still supply a physical service book with every new vehicle. You are only required to complete the service book after the relevant service has been carried out according to manufacturer’s standards with appropriate parts.

VOLVO
All new Volvos sold via our approved dealer network will come with a service book. Any dealer completing a service, Volvo approved or independent, can stamp the book accordingly. Volvo approved dealers will also record the service on our central computer system and retain detailed records on site.
Please note however that a stamp in the book isn’t sufficient to confirm that the service has been completed correctly. We would recommend that if a customer uses an independent dealer, they ensure that they retain service/parts invoices to prove that the recommended work has been completed and that the correct parts/fluids are used. They may be required to produce such information if a warranty claim were made. If however a Volvo dealer is used for servicing, as per the text above, the dealer is required to retain these records

HYUNDAI
Our approved Hyundai dealerships, once they have serviced a vehicle, will enter this information onto their computer systems electronically.
Independent garages are not able to access this system to update a vehicle's servicing records, as this is a system is used within the Hyundai network only.
I can confirm every new vehicle will be sent with a service booklet, for the owner to keep manual records of their servicing.

DIGITAL SERVICE RECORDS UPDATE

JAGUAR LAND ROVER

We have recently been in touch with Jaguar Land Rover regarding on line service history. They supplied us with the latest ‘how to’ guide and up-to-date contact information to allow completion of the two stage registration process (new guides can be accessed via logging into IGA Forums and selecting the download section or contacting the IGA Technical helpline).
.
MERCEDES

Mercedes have a video tutorial on their site on how to use the digital service records; in addition to this we have produced a pictorial representation of the three stages.
1 – Information and system requirements
2 – Registration process
3 – Accessing online service history
These guides can be accessed by logging into IGA forums and selecting the download section or contacting the IGA Technical help line.
.
TOYOTA

We have been in contact with Toyota regarding the apparent use of digital service records (DSR). They use DSR on a dealer based system for information only and still supply a physical service book with every new vehicle. You are only required to complete the service book after the relevant service has been carried out according to manufacturer’s standards with appropriate parts.
.
BMW/ MINI

We have been informed that BMW Online Service System (OSS) site portal is being migrated to BMW Aftersales Online System (AOS) portal; if you are currently registered to this system you should be switched across including any credit on your account. They should notify you of the change as there are some changes to the terms and conditions; if you don’t agree with these changes or no longer require access to the site, there will be procedure offered to remove your account.
.
AUDI

On completion of an online service record, the initial site access fee can be claimed back by rebate and registered as credit on your Audi account. This can be achieved by contacting Audi upon successful completion of service records stating the relevant vehicle chassis numbers.
.
SUBARU

Subaru are using digital service records and we are currently in discussion and trying to gain information on any procedures that need to be followed and any relevant processes that have been put into place – as soon as we have any more information, the IGA Forum will be updated accordingly.

Hello.

I contacted Toyota yesterday relating to ability to record service records when carried out outside the Toyota network.
The response is as follows.

If your vehicle has been serviced outside of the Toyota Network these will not be displayed on your My Toyota account and the service book will be the only way of recording these services.
I hope this information is of assistance to you and thank you for contacting Toyota.

Your local Toyota Center Parts Department will be able to order a service book for you.

As you are aware things are always changing, the above was the reply at this time.

Hope this helps.
